Culinary Corner: Apple Pie Cups

We all know of the traditional apple pie.
It gets served at every special or not so special occasion. Have you ever
thought of taking the presentation up a notch? This Yom tov take it from bland
to grand!
8 apples plus one for each serving
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Crumble:
1 stick margarine
1 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1: Preheat your oven to 375. Peel, core
and slice eight apples
2: Combine apple slices, sugar and
cinnamon cover well and bake for 90 minutes
3: In a bowl combine the crumble
ingredient and knead until crumble forms. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for
15 minutes
4: Cut off the tops of the additional
apples and using a melon baller, scoop out the seeds and some flesh. Bake for
15-20 minutes
To assemble:
Fill the scooped-out apples with the
baked apple mixture and top with the delicious crumble!
Note:
If you don’t have a melon baller, a good
measuring spoon should do the trick!
