Councilman Chaim Deutsch Slams ASP On Twitter

Along with living in a red zone, do we also have to spend time looking for parking spots to avoid parking tickets, many Boro Parkers are wondering with an anxious sigh.
Why hasn’t Alternate Side Parking (ASP) not been suspended in many parts of Brooklyn’s red zones, Councilman Chaim Deutsch, who represents the 48th City Council District, also wants to know.
“Alternate side [parking] isn’t canceled, Deutsch tweeted tonight, “so now folks across red zones can enjoy $65 fines if they don’t want to drag their children and the entire zoom class into the car and sit there for an hour and a half to avoid a fine. When the kids are home, ASP should be suspended.”
To alleviate one worry of Brooklyn residents during the citywide lockdowns, the city suspended ASP last spring and early summer.
