Communities Throughout Boro Park to Bring in Yom Tov with Celebrations of New Sifrei Torah

What better way to bring in the Yom Tov of kabbolas Hatorah than with completing a sefer Torah—and inaugurating into the shul with dances of fervor and joy.

It has become an increasingly popular phenomenon in recent years—as people donating a Sefer Torah choose celebrate the siyum and hachnosas sefer Torah in the days preceding Shavuos, and with many choosing to dance the Torah’s to shul on the holy day of kabbolas Hatorah itself—laining about the ma’mad har sinai from the brand new Sefer Torah!

To name a few such instances from our Boro park neighbors;

The Deutch family donated a sefer Torah on Thursday afternoon, written l’kavod hatanna Rabi Shimon Bar Yochai, to the new Darkei Chaim-Stabnitz shul.

The Pincus family donated a Sefer Torah to the Tosher shul on fourteenth avenue.

The mispalelim of Beis Hamedrash Ohr Yechezkel on 57th Street in Boro Park gathered as one to dedicate a Sefer Torah to the memory of the father of the Rov,  Rav Alter Yechezkel Horowitz, zt”l, who was the Viener Dayan, and his Rebbetzin, the daughter of Rav Duvid’l of Czarnow.

These are but a sampling of joy and the holiness around the celebration of the holy Torah on the streets of Boro Park this eve of kabbolas HaTorah.
