Cash Toll Collection Returning to Lincoln Tunnel and GWB Temporarily

Cash toll collection will temporarily be returning to the Lincoln Tunnel and George Washington Bridge, the port authority announced Thursday.

For the next 18 months, beginning October 26, approximately 100 toll collectors will return to duty as construction continues to transition at both crossings from older tolling systems to new modern all-electronic tolling systems.

All toll collecting booths will receive enhanced cleaning to ensure the safety of the workers. 

Employees will also receive personal protective equipment and disinfectants to use while in the booths.
