Car Slams Into City Bus Following Police Chase, Multiple People Transported to Hospital

A high-speed police chase this afternoon down McDonald Avenue after a routine traffic stop ended in a terrible accident on Avenue N and McDonald Avenue.  

NYPD officers stopped the sedan a few blocks earlier and went to run the plate when the vehicle took off at high speed. It was quickly pursued by the police, after which it slammed head-on into a city bus, leaving it badly mangled.  

At least one of the passengers was transported to the hospital in critical condition, and one other passenger was injured as well. A number of passengers on the city bus was transported to the hospital as well. 

A police investigation is ongoing, and helicopters were seen hovering above Boro Park following the incident.
