By Y.M. Lowy

A serious scene unfolded on 17th Avenue and 57th Street, where a car drove straight into fresh cement at a National Grid worksite.

Chaverim volunteers rushed to the scene after receiving the call. Thankfully, a tractor being used for the roadwork was able to pull the vehicle out quickly, avoiding any major damage.

Drivers should expect heavy traffic in the area as cleanup continues.
