Captured Moment: First Home of Yeshiva Eitz Chaim

YS GOLD

This week’s captured moment takes us to the first home of the famed Yeshiva Etz Chaim, which stood for decades on the corner of 13th Avenue and 50th Street.

A keen observer will notice an iconic building peeking out from behind the home.

Can any of our readers pinpoint the location of this school?

___

Answer to last week’s captured moment:

Tiferes Israel Anshei Sfard was located at 5621 Fort Hamilton Parkway, and Rabbis Israel Schorr and Yehoshua Heschel Babad served as Rabbonim in the little shtiebel. Today, it serves as a laundromat.
