Burglar Flees After Stabbing Car Owner for Confronting Him

Boro Park - A man who broke into a vehicle on Saturday afternoon stabbed the car owner and fled without taking anything.

The incident unfolded shortly after 2 o'clock, in front of 810 50th Street. A man noticed that someone had broken into his car and was sitting in it. He ran out and confronted the burglar when he saw that a camera he had in his car was in the man's pocket.

A struggle ensued between the victim, his associate and the suspect. It ended when the burglar took out a knife and cut the victim on the left hand before fleeing.

The victim was transported to Maimonides Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition. 

Nothing was taken from the car. Police are searching for the perpetrator.
