Bukharian Jewish Community Endorses Eric Adams

     The Bukharian Jewish community, which is based in Queens, endorsed Eric Adams yesterday: joining his strong and diverse Orthodox Jewish coalition that is comprised of the Aroni faction of the Satmar community, The Flatbush Jewish Community Council, the Sephardic Community Federation and communities from Staten Island, Far Rockaway, and Crown Heights.

     “You have the support of our community,” said a leader in a home in the Bukharian community. “We are all here for you.”

     “I have advocated against anti-Semitism in the police department, against the unfair treatment of my Chassidic brothers and sisters,” Adams has previously said.

     “We have moved away from a city that is safe, affordable and fair,” Adams said at the endorsement. “We are moving in the wrong direction: Plain and simple. We have to stabilize our city, and we don’t have to be heavy-handed to do it.

     “We can change the relationship between the police and the community. Rebuild that trust and make sure that we can have public safety and justice: They go together. 

     “We are not going to go back to the days when crime is the norm, and every day we are waking up to another shooting.

      Also yesterday, a week after Eric Adams received the powerful endorsement of the Ahroni factor of the Satmar Chassidus, Adams visited with the Satmar Rebbe, where the Brooklyn Borough President received blessings and spoke about his commitment to the Jewish community and to Jewish education.
