Bucher Clears a Path of Puddles so that Others can Stay Safe and Dry
Just so that other people could safely walk across the crosswalk on the corner of 15th Avenue and 42nd Street without getting drenched, a Boro Park bucher, who was walking near his home, took the time to stop what he was doing to clear a large puddle that contained the remains of two or three feet of melted snow.
“The city is supposed to clear these crosswalks,” said one observer. “A young Chassidic boy made the effort to direct the water to go into the closest sewer on the corner.
“The water should go into the drain so that people should be able to cross without getting splashed and getting wet from two feet of water.
“People in this neighborhood are very well-educated, and they care about others.”
