The positivity rate for COVID-19 in the micro-cluster areas, such as Brooklyn, fell to 3.04%, which is 50% what it was during its spike, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced today.
Additionally, the Central Queens yellow zone remains the same, and Far Rockaway’s rate is so low that the area is no longer a cluster zone.
Excluding any of the micro-cluster areas, the statewide positivity rate yesterday was 1.70%. In the state of New York, yesterday 1,277 people were hospitalized for COVID-19, and the governor said, “Sadly we lost 24 New Yorkers.”
