Bridges and Tunnels Become New Commercial Vehicle Inspection Target

New York State Police have teamed up with the New York State Department of Transportation to be on top of inspections of commercial vehicles that utilize New York City bridges and tunnels. 

Inspections of commercial vehicles at bridges via a variety of methods have been on the rise lately, including the automated program enforcing the weight limit on overweight trucks as reported by BoroPark24 here, "There is a high volume of commercial vehicles traveling throughout New York City," New York State Police said via social media when announcing the new joint endeavor, "so it's important to be sure they are in safe working condition."
