The FBI raided the FDNY’s Brooklyn headquarters, as well as the homes of two fire chiefs, in an ongoing bribery investigation.
The top FDNY chiefs are in charge of setting up city safety inspections, and it is alleged that they took $100,000 in order to expedite or set up safety inspections. According to the New York Times, the investigation began last summer.
