Boro Park Police Officer Retires After 27 Years

After 27 years of dedication and service to the Boro Park community, Sgt Edward  Wheeler has retired.

He joined the 66 precinct 18 years ago as a Sargent and from the beginning, he dedicated all of his time to keeping this neighborhood safe. 

“Boro Park is very unique, they are not like other communities, they actually like the police, it is a special place to work.” Wheeler told Boropark24.com Tuesday. 

He added that he’s worked a lot with Boro Park Shomrim over the years and that they are almost like anti-crime unit , “they are great at what they do.”

He has been an amazing ally and friend to the community, he will truly be missed.
