Boro Park Man Assaulted on Fort Hamilton Parkway in Phone Robbery

A Boro Park man was assaulted and robbed Wednesday morning as he was walking down Fort Hamilton Parkway while talking on his phone.

The Yingerman was walking on Ft. Hamilton Parkway & 36th Street when a male suspect approached him and snatched his cellphone—punching him in his face, for good measure.

The suspect fled from the scene and the man was treated by Hatzolah.

A manhunt for the suspect ensued, by Shomrim which was soon on the scene, canvassing the area for the perpetrator. A police report was filed, including a photograph of the suspect, taken from area surveillance.

Eyewitnesses report that no words were exchanged, just the assault and robbery.
