Both the Boro Park and Williamsburg locations of Toys4U have already given away, since the day after Yom Kippur, 5,000 kits with flags, stickers, and crayons for kids to decorate their own flags for Simchas Torah celebrations.

Today, the two Brooklyn toy stores received 2,000 more decorate-a-flag kits to give away to any families who come into the stores, which are located at 4714 13th Ave, and 232 Lee Ave.

Although Mrs. Raizy Pavlov usually creates beautiful and fun activities for the residents of the of Boro Park Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, of which she is the Director of Recreation, Mrs. Pavlov also thought that the children of Boro Park needed an extra fun activity to do while they are home right now.

“The mothers and children are home and have extra time right now, so I thought they would like a fun arts and crafts activity,” says Mrs. Pavlov, who explained that the Boro Park Center sponsored the 7,000 decorate-a-flag kits for the children of the community.

“The mothers are happy, and the children are excited about the flags and art supplies,” Mrs. Pavlov said.

Shloime Itzkowitz, the manager of the Boro Park Toys4U, agreed that the decorate-a-flag kits are a huge success.

“The kids come in, and they ask right away for the flags,” Itzkowitz reported with a smile. “People can come into Toys4U, which is open tonight until 7pm.”
