Blackout Reported on 44th Street

A blackout has been reported on 44th street between 12th and 14th Avenues and 44th Street, including the traffic light at the intersection. The outages has affected around 100 customers, according to Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein.

The Assemblyman said that he’s in touch with ConEdison and they’ve already sent a crew to the area to address the issue and expect full power to be returned by approximately 3:00am.

The outage came as New York is heading out of a scorching few days as temperatures in recent days have reached the highest of the season with some areas experiencing over 100° degree weather.
