Before Heading Out for Chol Hamoed: Take Photos of Each Child and Attach Identifying Tags

After a three-day Yom Tov, everyone is ready for outings, but before you pack snacks and head out, please remember to take individual photos of your children to help Shomrim and others to find them if they get lost in crowded public spaces, such as parks, zoos, and malls.

In addition, readers can click on the link https://cutt.ly/BPShomrim-Tags to print out tags that Shomrim provides with spaces for children’s names and two different phone numbers to contact parents whose kids have gotten separated from them.

“Parents should make sure to cut out the tags and attach them with safety pins, tape, or string to their children before heading out,” said a Shomrim coordinator. “Anywhere you go on Chol Hamoed is going to be packed with people, and kids can wander off. So it is important to have the tags attached to kids, so if they run away or get lost, we will know where to find their parents.”

In case of emergencies, Shomrim can be reached at (718) 871-6666.
