BDE: Rebbitzen Tzipporah Chana Lisker a”h

We regret to inform you of the passing of Rebbetzin Lisker of Boro Park and Kensington, a longtime mechaneches who impacted thousands of bnos Yisroel in the Boro Park community. She was in her seventies. 

The nifteres hailed from the royalty of Lita and Yerushalayim, and she was saturated with their illustrious legacy of kedushah, tzniyus, and a tremendous breadth of Torah knowledge. She would pass on these traditions and lessons to her children and her scores of talmidos in Boro Park. 

She espoused tremendous mesirus nefesh for Torah—supporting her illustrious husband, ybl”ch, Rav Yehuda Leib Lisker, shlit”a, in his learning and his many Torah endeavors. 

A great-granddaughter of the Alter of Slabodka, she authored a biography on his life—but more importantly, she embodied and carried his lessons in her heart and transmitted it to others.
