BDE: Reb Shmuel Dovid Pilicer, Z"L

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Reb Shmuel Dovid Pilicer. He was 96 years of age.
Born in Poland to his parents, Reb Yitzchok Noch and Esther Pilicer, Alexander Chassidim, he survived the Holocaust during his teenage years.
He would speak often of the terrible ordeals he had been through, and authored the book “You Will Outlive Them,” a memoir of the things had seen and experienced.
He watched his father and mother taken away, as well as his five siblings, Hy”d. He was the only one from all of them to survive.
He rebuilt with great tenacity, and has generations of Torah-true descendants to show for it. “If you’d have told me during my six years of geihinom, suffering and starvation, that I would survive, I’d never have believed you,” he was wont to say.
Reb Shmuel Dovid worked as a watchmaker, serving his boro park clients with dedication and honesty.
He leaves behind a beautiful family, and a legacy of emunah peshutah, clinging to his faith through the worst of times, to a better day.
His Levaya will take place at Shomrei Hadas, Sunday at 12 noon.
Yehi zichro baruch.
