BDE: Reb Duvid Strobel z”l

We are saddened to inform of the petira of Reb Duvid Strobel, a chassidishe Yid who worked in Boro Park for many years, who passed away on Wednesday morning. He was 74.

Reb Duvid, a devoted chassid to the Sanzer rebbes, was born in a DP camp in Germany in 1947 to Reb Moshe and Helen Strobel, Holocaust survivors who overcame the horrific war years and married. The family later moved to the United States, settling in the community set up by the Klausenburger Rebbe zt"l in Union City.

Reb Duvid married the former Sarah Roziner, and together they built a beautiful family. He was an ardent chassid of the Klausenburger Rebbe, and later of his son in law, the Sanz-Zviller Rebbe of Union City, and son, the Sanzer Rebbe of Netanya.

Reb Duvid later moved to Williamsburg and commuted to Boro Park. He worked for many years in Weiss Bakery on 13th Ave. and as a bus driver for several Boro Park yeshivas.

Reb Duvid was hospitalized in Maimonides Medical Center when he was niftar.
