BDE: Reb Chaim Hersh Schwimmer, z"l

We regret to inform you of the petirah of Reb Chaim Hersh Schwimmer, z"l, a Satmar chossid renowned  for his yiras Shomayim and his fervent tefillah. He was 94 years of age. 

The niftar miraculously survived the gas chambers in Auschwitz, together with another two young men, when there was not enough room for them, and the door wouldn't close. In those moments, Chaim Hersh promised his creator that he would always daven with ehrlichkeit.

Indeed, anyone who knew Reb Chaim Hersh knew about his davening which was always accompanied with great emotion. This was witnessed by generations of chassidim in Williamsburg and Boro Park, and left a long-lasting impression on them. 

The levaya will take place at the Satmar Beis Medrash on 52nd Street in Boro Park at 10:00, and kevurah will be in Kiryas Yoel.
