BDE: Reb Avigdor Rubenstein, z”l

YS GOLD
We regret to inform you of the sudden passing of Reb Avigdor Rubenstein, z”l, a prominent Gerer chossid from the Boro Park kehillah. He was 71 years of age, and his passing comes as a great shock to his family, his friends, the Gerer kehillah, and the many who knew and admired him.
The niftar was born to his father, Reb Mordechai Gimpel Rubenstein, and he dedicated his life to the Klal and to helping others.
He was a longtime gabbai in the Gerer shtiebel in Boro Park—a position which he used to assist others with sensitivity and patience.
He was a devoted chosssid of the Gerer Rebbe, and did everything that the Rebbe asked with extraordinary devotion and dedication.
He was one of the founders—with great mesirus nefesh—of the Gerer Yeshiva Ketana on Old New Utrecht, and he cared for its growth and success with tremendous dedication.
The niftar was one of the founders of the shtiebel Birchas Eliyahu on 18th Avenue, and he davened there regularly. Lately, due to his weakness, he davened in a Gerer shtiebel near his home.
All who knew him recognized him as a true chossid and an example of a chassidishe Yid.
His passing brought great shock and sadness to all who knew him.
The levaya will take place at 10:30 this morning in front of the Gerer Yeshiva Ketana 5115 Old New Utrecht Ave.
Yehi zichro Baruch.
