BDE: Rav Yosef Kalish z"l, Amshinover Rebbe of Boro Park
Boro Park - We are saddened to inform of the petira of Rav Yosef Kalish, the Amshinover rebbe who had a shul on 15th Avenue and 44th Street. He was 63.
The rebbe was sick for several months, and was hospitalized with the coronavirus last week. He was niftar on Sunday morning.
The rebbe was the only son of his father, Rav Yitzchok'l, and was named in the tzavaa as his successor upon his father's petira on 19 Adar of 1994.
He is survived by two sons, Menachem and Asher Chaim, and three daughters, Mrs. Klein, Mrs. Marilys and Mrs. Hopstein.
