We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Mordechai Dovid Perlstein, z”l, a longtime Boro Park resident, and a great talmid chochom. He was 83 years of age.

The niftar was born in Chicago, and moved to Boro Park around the time of his marriage. 

A neighbor spoke with BoroPark24, and lamented the loss of this great talmid chochom with such special middos. “He would pass my home, pushed in his wheelchair by an aid, and I would ask him how he was. He would flash the brightest smile, and exclaim, “Baruch Hashem, I can learn as much as I want!” 

“He was a true adam chashuv,” she said. “We don’t find people like this anymore. It’s a true loss.” 

The niftar leaves behind four esteemed children, with many bnei Torah among them.
