BDE: R' Efraim Landau Z"l, Gerrer Chusid and Renowned Philanthropist

We are saddened to inform of the passing of R' Efraim Landau Z"l, a longtime Gerrer Chusid, who passed away on Monday after being sick for a while.

R' Efraim was known in the Gerrer Kehila for his philanthropy work on behalf of the Gerrer Admorim, most recently he was the Nachshon to jump at the opportunity when the Gerrer Kehila started building their new Shul in Israel, he offered a large donation and encouraged others to assist in the building of the spacious Heichel.

Even in recent years when he was weakened, he was still involved and always offered assistance in the Kehila when needed. Just a few months ago he donated to the large Shul in Israel a beautiful Sefer Torah. 

His passing leaves a void in the Gerrer Kehila and he will always be remembered for his acts of kindness, always helping another Jew.
