BDE: R’ Chaim Elimelech Blum, z”l

YS Gold
We regret to inform you of the passing of R’ Chaim Elimelech
Blum, a distinguished Satmar chossid and longtime Boro Park resident. He was 84
years of age.
The niftar was a ben-achar-ben descendant of the Beis
She’arim, Rav Amrom Blum, zt”l, and he was a young child when the war broke
out. He was the son-in-law of Reb Aaron Hersh Kestenbaum of Williamsburg, a
distinguished Satmar chossid.
The niftar was known in the Satmar kehillah as a talmid
chochom, a ba’al middos, and as an exceedingly humble person. He was
always seen with a sefer in hand, always learning.
He merited to have children who are chashuve bnei Torah,
marbitzei Torah, and talmidei chachomim.
He was predeceased by his wife, as well as a son who was the
Rosh Yeshiva in the Satmar Yeshiva K’tana in London.
The Levaya took place at 11:00 this morning outside the
Satmar Beis Medrash on 52nd Street.
Yehi zichro baruch.
