BDE:  R' Chaim Eliezer Rosenberg Z”L

Boro Park - We are saddened to inform of the petira of Rav Chaim Eluzor Rosenberg, a Holocaust survivor and longtime Boro Park resident, who was niftar in middle of the davening on the first day of Rosh Hashana. He was 84.

Born in Hungary to Ernest and Sarah Rosenberg, Chaim Eluzer survived the Holocaust, married his wife Tova and moved to Boro Park. He earned a livelihood as a shochet and attached himself to the Rachmastrivka rebbe.

Reb Chaim Eluzer was davening in the Rachmastrivka beis medrash on the first day Rosh Hashanan when he suffered a heart attack. He was taken to Maimonides Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The levaya took place on Monday morning at the Rachmastrivka beis medrash. Kevura will be in Tzefas.
