BDE: R’ Aryeh Leibish Daskal, z”l

We regret to inform you of the passing of R’ Aryeh Leibish Daskal, a longtime askan in the community. He was 83 years of age. 

The niftar was born in Hungary, and miraculously survived the events of the Holocaust. 

He resided in Williamsburg for many years, and was known as an askan with a large heart who would utilize his connections to help his fellow Yidden. He would do a favor for anyone, even people he did not know. 

He was close to the court of Satmar, and was a close confidante of the Paksher Rov. 

In later years, he moved to Boro Park, and he davened in the Satmar Beis Medrash on 53rd Street, as well as in the Kaliver Beis Medrash on 40th Street. 

He was niftar late Tuesday, and the Levaya will take place at 11:00 this morning in front of the Kaliver Beis Medrash at 1320 40th Street.
