We are saddened to announce the passing of Zlata (Lotte) Ledereich at the age of 103. Wife of R Chaim Moshe Ledereich.
Born in Berlin Germany in 1920, she escaped to Poland in 1937 amidst the rise of Hitler Y"ms.
Her journey of survival led her through harrowing times in concentration camps until her liberation from Bergen-Belsen.
After liberation, she found refuge in a Displaced Persons camp in Sweden, where she was known for her mesiros nefesh for Shmiras Shabbos.
She eventually made her way to New York, settling in Crown Heights & then Borough Park where she raised her family with extreme devotion & yiras Shomayaim.
She remained lucid until her last days and passed away after a short illness, following a lifetime of mesirus nefesh for yiddishkeit and emunah peshuta.
She leaves behind beautiful Torah generations who will always remember her & follow her ways.
The levayah will be going out from Shomrei Hadas Sunday morning at 10:30Am.
Yehi Zichra Boruch!
