We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Donnenberg, a Holocaust survivor who established beautiful generations. She was 90 years of age.

She was born in the town of Makava, Hungary. Her father was Reb Yitzchok Eizik Perlmutter, a wealthy merchant of onions and garlic in the entire region.

They spent the war years in Theresienstadt camp, and she was fortunate that both of her parents survived.

She married Reb Duvid Donenberg-Solomon in 1952, and they moved to America. They davened in Belz and in the Shul of Rav Menashe Klein, zt”l, where Reb Duvid was known to spend many hours in the day—beginning at 3:00 in the morning—immersed in learning and davening.

Mrs. Donenberg was known for her ehrlichkeit, her middos and eidelkeit and her intelligence. In 1977, her ailing father came to live with her and she cared for him with great dedication. Her grandchildren relate that she ardently supported her husband in his learning, and would always walk him to the door as he was leaving to learn.

She leaves behind beautiful generations who mourn her loss.

The Levaya took place at Shomrei Hadas this morning, and the nifteres was brought to Eretz Yisroel for kevurah.
