BDE: Mrs. Mantza Yalles

YS GOLD
We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Mantza Yalles, a Boro Park resident for close to forty years. She was 98 years of age.
The nifteres was born in Romania to Reb Yosef and Sarah Toba Stein—ardent Viznitzer chassidim. Tragically, she lost her father to pneumonia when she was nine years old. She would lose her entire family in the Holocaust, except for a sister whom she met after the war, and they lived together in Williamsburg.
Following the war, she married Reb Yosef Yermiah Yalles, an ardent Gerer chossid from Krakow who was niftar about thirty-five years ago.
She was an incredibly supportive and loving wife and mother—always doting and providing for her children and grandchildren. She was an extremely warm person, and took a great interest in the lives of all her einiklach. Mrs. Yalles believed very strongly in transmitting the mesorah of the lost world of Eastern Europe, and would always tell her experiences before and during the war.
She greatly dedicated herself to davening and Tehillim, but she would always make the time to greet every visitor with a smile and with a keen interest in their lives.
She leaves behind beautiful generations, with children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
The levaya took place Thursday morning in Shomrei Hadas, and kevurah took place in the Gerer chelkah in Montefiore Cemetery.
