BDE: Mrs. Esther Koenig, a”h, daughter of Yoka Ruv, zt”l

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Koenig, a daughter of the previous Yoka Ruv, known as the Chukei Chaim, a giant in Torah and a great posek.

She was lovingly known in the entire Koenig family as “Tante Esty.” 

She was also known to many in the community as a very special person. 

To her siblings and nieces and nephews, she was doting presence in every area of their lives, and could be counted on to assist in every possible way—from help with a book report to advice on the gamut of issues. She was a person who never had a bad word to say about anyone.  

Mrs. Koenig will be sorely missed by all those who knew her. 

The Levaya will take place at Shomrei Hadas Chapels at 2:00 this afternoon.
