As Yeshiva Karlin Stolin Takes Trailblazing Step, ‘Raising their Rebbeim,’ Klal Yisroel Galvanizes in Support

Yeshiva Karlin Stolin, one of Boro Park’s oldest yeshivos,
has been a name synonymous with the highest level of Torah learning, steeped in
the tradition of kedusha and taharah... deep authenticity and purity.
Throughout the decades, it has attracted talmidim from
Brooklyn’s most prestigious homes of Torah and chassidus, selected by
Roshei Yeshiva, Admorim, and Torah’dige balebatim
as the mossad of choice for their
children to grow into Talmidei chachomim who will be steeped in
yiras Shomayim and ahavas Hashem.
Roshei Yeshiva, Talmdei Chachomim, upstanding, Torah’dige
laymen, some of the greatest mekarvim in the world... and the thousands of pure
Yiddishe kinderlach of the future of Klal Yisroel, have one thing in common: A
chinuch in a most unique mossad haTorah
which continues to valiantly adhere to the mission of its founding—no matter
the winds of the time.
Raising our Rebbeim
The Rebbeim of the Yeshiva have always been role models
steeped in Torah and yiras Shomayim. The memory of these rebbeim remains with
the yeshiva’s talmidim for decades after they leave the yeshiva, continuing the
influence long after they leave its confines.
Now, the time has come to place our rebbeim at their
deserved place in our society—by showing them their worth; by raising their
salaries in a meaningful manner. Stoliner yeshiva has always paid higher than
most other Brooklyn mosdos—but we must do even better. We must invest in our
most precious asset.
Investing in our
Rebbeim; an investment in Eternity
This is an idea whose time has long since arrived.
Mosdos haTorah, chinuch organizations,
and the general public have all come to recognize the need to invest in our
rebbeim in a financially-meaningful way.
We cannot expect our rebbeim to
enter their classrooms each and every day with peace of mind —prepared to shape
the future of Klal Yisroel— even as they are compensated at a rate that has not
risen in decades.
Now is the time to resolve, as a
community, to invest in those most precious heroes among us, to show them how
much we value them, and our willingness to invest in them.
Yeshiva Karlin Stolin has never
been known for its affluent parent body, and this is a step that we cannot take
alone. It has always been Klal Yisroel, those who appreciate Torah, Torah with
fire, and steeped in a tradition of fire and joy, who have rallied to support
it as it has thrived so miraculously.
The yeshiva has
taken the brave step of raising every rebbi by $10,000!
Today and tomorrow (Tuesday and
Wednesday), a historic campaign will take the world of chinuch by storm. “Raising
our shining stars” (as the Gemoro refers to rebbeim) is Yeshiva Karlin Stolin’s
foundation into a monumental commitment to raise every one of its rebbeim.
Alongside this is the establishment of a rebbeim simcha fund that has already
awarded tens of thousands of dollars to our rebbeim at the time of a simcha.
During this campaign to “elevate
its mechanchim, raising its rebbeim,” the yeshiva will be joined by
thousands in the community, its own parents and alumni, and those of other
beautiful mosdos haTorah, who will support this trailblazing effort.
Together, we will invest in our
rebbeim.
Together, we will impact the future of Klal Yisroel whom they will mold.
