Another Weekend of Raging Violence Across NYC

Gun violence continues to rage across New York City, with more than a dozen people shot and two killed over this weekend alone.

On Shabbos, a twenty-six-year-old man was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head in Hudson heights.

Early Sunday morning, a man on the Lower East Side was found with a bullet wound to the chest. He was taken to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital and immediately pronounced dead.

Both incidents are part of 12 shootings that occurred over the weekend in the Bronx, Harlem, Brooklyn, and Jamaica.

in Brooklyn, at around 12:45 am Sunday, a 25-year-old man was hit in the head and taken to Kings County Hospital for treatment.

Shortly after, at around 1:50 am, a man was shot in the back on Union Street in Brooklyn, where police found seven shell casings at the scene.
