Alert: Bitter Cold Windy Temps Ahead

By Y.M. Lowy
New York is bracing for challenging weather with a wind advisory in effect until 10 p.m. today. The heaviest snow is likely for Brooklyn in the morning hours. It will only last a short while.
By the afternoon, the precipitation will clear, but strong winds and rapidly falling temperatures will persist over the coming days.
Westerly winds between 20-25 mph with gusts up to 45-50 mph are expected, increasing the possibility of fallen trees and power lines.
