Admorim of Viznitz and Chernobyl to Spend Shabbos in Boro Park

This Shabbos Parashas Eikev will bring joyous, uplifted celebration to the Boro Park community—as the courts of Viznitz and Chernobyl will celebrate Shabbos Sheva Brachos of grandchildren of the Admorim.

The Chosson, Baruch Hager, is the grandson of the Rebbe of Viznitz-Monsey (Monsey), while the kallah is the granddaughter of both Chernobyler Rebbes, who are also brothers (her father is the son of the Rebbe of Boro Park, while her mother is the daughter of the Chernobyler Rebbe of Bnei Brak.

While the Sheva Brachos tischen will take place at the Anshei Sfard Hall on Fourteenth Avenue, it is interesting to note that the Viznitzer Rebbe will be joining the tefillos in the Viznitzer Shuls of Boro Park. On Friday night, he will daven with his brother, Admor of Viznitz-Yerushalayim, and for Mincha he will join the flagship Viznitz-Monsey Shul on 53rd Street, which is led by his nephew. This is presumably due to the important place that nusach hatefillah occupies in Viznitz—with particularly heartfelt melodies and nusach, which the Rebbe likely would not want to pass up.

The Viznitzer Rebbe will join his uncle, the Rachmastrivka Rebbe, for Shalosh Seudos.

It promises to be a joyous and uplifting Shabbos, bringing extra life and uplift to a summer Shabbos in Boro Park.
