Adams Visits Boro Park Mosque To Show Solidarity Following Hate Crime

Mayor Adams visited the Nur Al-Islam Mosque in Boro Park to show solidarity after an incident of Islamophobia occurred there last week.
Last Tuesday, an alleged member of the extremist Zionist Betar USA group was filmed chanting hateful slurs outside the mosque during morning services. The hateful act was condemned by many local Jews, and the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force launched an investigation immediately.
“Since it occurred, our team has been in contact with the mosque and is actively working on this case with our Hate Crimes Task Force and the 66th Precinct,” Mayor Adams said. “I know this hateful act has shaken the community, and I want to remind our Muslim brothers and sisters that you can worship in peace here. Hate and bigotry have no place in our city and never will.”
