In the Democratic mayoral primary, Eric Adams is maintaining his commanding lead, with 31.7% of the vote, with 83.99% of New York City precincts reporting election results.

Maya Wiley remains in second place, with 22.3%, and Katherine Garcia is still not far behind with 19.5% of the vote. Yang, who has 11.7% of the vote, conceded the race late last night in front of a crowd of supporters in Midtown Manhattan.

Under the city’s new system of ranked-choice voting, when frontrunners do not receive 50% the vote, which they are unlikely to do, considering the low voter turnout, the candidates who earned the fewest votes will be eliminated. Then, voters’ second choices will then be added to the frontrunners’ totals, until a candidate wins, by receiving 50% of the vote.

The Board of Elections will only begin to count absentee and affidavit ballots on June 29, and the board does not expect to announce official results until July 12.

Curtis Sliwa definitively won the Republican primary for mayor with 71.9% of New Yorkers’ votes.

In the race for the city’s comptroller, the city’s chief financial officer and second highest office, City Councilman Brad Lander, who represents the 39th District, is in the lead, with 31.4% of the vote.

Politico described Lander as "one of the most left-leaning politicians in the city.” Corey Johnson, who is the speaker of the City Council, is trailing, with 22.6% of the vote.

Public Advocate Incumbent Jumaane Williams won 71% of the vote.

For Brooklyn Borough President, City Councilman Antonio Reynoso, who represents the 34th District, is far ahead with 28.2% of the vote, with City Councilman Robert Cornegy, who represents the 36th District, is in second place, with 19.2% of the vote.

In the City Council race for District 48, Steven Saperstein, who co-founded the Shorefront Coalition to help those in need, is far ahead with 41% of the vote. Mariya Markh, who fled the Soviet Union with her Jewish family as a child, is in second with 28.7%, and radio talk show host Heshy Tischler is in fifth place, with 5% of the vote.
