A Siyum Hashas Twenty-One Years in the Making

Friends and acquaintance of Reb Doniel Parnes, originally from Russia, gathered at the Deezher Beis Medrash in Boro Park on Monday evening for a unique and holy event; his completion of the entire Shas b'iyun, a journey that took twenty one years to complete. 

Reb Doniel began learning with Daf Yomi three cycles ago, but soon went out on his own to learn with more depth and mastery. 

This process took him twenty one years of toil--culminating with a siyum hashas on Monday evening which he made l'iluy nishmas his mother. 

Among those in attendance were the Deezher Rebbe, Rav Asher Friedman, the Ungvarer Rebbe, the Bluzever Rebbe, and a number of close friends who rejoiced together with Reb Doniel in honor of this great occassion.
