66th Precinct Rings in the New Year with a New Commanding Officer

 By Yehudit Garmaise

After serving the 66th Precinct as its commanding officer for two years, Deputy Inspector James King is heading to the 60th Precinct, which covers Coney Island, Brighton Beach, West Brighton Beach, and Sea Gate, and in his place, Captain Jason Hagestad will be taking the top spot at the Boro Park police station.

Captain Hagestad comes very well-recommended from the 78th Precinct in Park Slope. “In all honesty, he is a great person: very community oriented and friendly, and really listens to community concerns,” said an anonymous source, who told BoroPark24 about the 66th new commanding officer. "He is always there to help."
