2-Alarm-Fire in Vacant Buildings Right Outside Boro Park

2-Alarm-Fire in Vacant Buildings Right Outside Boro Park

By Idy Perl

Last night, a vacant building on 50th St and 1st Ave, in the commercial area right outside Boro Park, went up in flames during a 2-alarm fire.

As per our reporter on scene, there are three buildings on the lot; one of which is scheduled to be demolished, and the other two are set to be taken over by a production crew for a movie starting in December, but thankfully the buildings were all empty at the time of the fire.

The fire was spotted at around 10:45PM after it started on the 2nd floor of one of the 6-story buildings that are supposed to be used for the movie production.

Strangely, one of the fire trucks that responded to the call caught on fire on 13th St and 3rd Ave on the way back to their fire station.
