2,600 NYC Sanitation Department Workers Clear Streets After Snowfall

By BoroPark24 Staff

New York City saw its first significant snowfall of the season yesterday, with more than an inch of snow blanketing the streets on Shabbos morning.

In response, the NYC Department of Sanitation DSNY deployed over 2,600 sanitation workers and a fleet of salt spreaders to ensure roads were cleared and safe for use.

Despite the weather, DSNY confirmed that trash collection proceeded on a regular schedule. Residents were advised to avoid driving during the snow to allow sanitation workers to operate safely and efficiently.

Residents and businesses are reminded of the importance of fulfilling their responsibility to clear snow and ice from their properties. Proper salting is crucial to ensure pedestrian safety and prevent potential accidents.
