‘I Have a Gun’: Teen Arrested in 18th Ave. Park for Threats

Boro Park - A young teenager was arrested in the 18th Ave. Park on Tuesday afternoon for threatening One adult that he has a gun and being part of a group who generally menaced Jewish children with thier dog.

The 15-year-old aggressor was in the park when he punched a Jewish boy. He then approached One Jewish adult, said that he had a gun and demanded money.

Shomrim were called to the park. They kept an eye on the youth until police arrived and arrested him.

The perpetrator in recent weeks had been in the park with friends and a giant German Shepherd, intimidating other children who were playing there.

Shomrim also described receiving a call from Yossie’s Heimishe Bakery on 18th Ave. and 57th Street, several feet from the park. The caller said that a teenager entered the bakery and demanded the owner empty the cash register and give him the money, claiming he had a gun in his backpack.

The owner told the youth to leave and he did.
