New York – Weeks after being stung by criticism for botching a six-inch snowstorm, Mayor Bill de Blasio’s administration is moving aggressively to get ahead of the next big one — a forecast of a half-inch moving into the five boroughs tonight.
De Blasio tweeted that he “was closely monitoring” the upcoming storm “out of an abundance of caution” as it arrives sometime between 6:00 p.m and midnight. Temperatures are expected to be a cold 25, taking the wind chill into account.
It looks like we’ll have a light dusting of snow this evening — as of now, it’s expected to hit between 6 PM and midnight. We’ll have an update around 11:30 AM.
