4 Sep 2019 12:55 PM

The Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) and other local hospitals went into lockdown on Wednesday afternoon after reports of an armed individual in the area.

A heavy police presence from the State Police and Sullivan County Sheriff was seen around the hospital, with the police advising that they were investigating a report that a man had made threatening statements of shooting law enforcement.

The Emergency Room at the hospital continued accepting patients for treatment throughout the incident.

Police determined that the suspect had an address in Monticello and attempted to find him at that location. Police ended up catching the suspect outside Walmart where they forced him to the ground and took him into custody.
