February Could Be Sixth in NYC History Without Snow
New York – It’s snowing!!! It’s been awhile since kids have gotten the exciting news of waking up to a white outdoors. In fact, with a little over week left to this month, February of 2020 looks like it will go down in the history books as just the sixth time in New York City history with nary a flake.
And in the city’s three main weather vanes — LaGuardia, JFK and Long Island MacArthur airports — this would be the first time in history with zero snow this February, typically the year’s snowiest month.
The last snowfall in the city came on Jan. 18. The white goo melted within a day.
