Child Struck by Private Sanitation Truck While Crossing Street

A child was struck by a private sanitation truck in Boro Park on Friday morning at around 8:30 am, while crossing in a crosswalk at 9th Ave and 49th Street.

Video of the incident show the child crossing in the crosswalk while the truck driver knocks him to the ground and drives over him.

The child was not seriously injured but was transported to the hospital for minor injuries and evaluation.
