Andy Byford Resigns From MTA
New York City Transit President Any Byford has resigned from his post as leader of the NYC transit system.
Byford has lead the City’s subway system for the past two years but submitted a letter of resignation a few months ago only to later rescind and remain at the post.
“Andy Byford will be departing New York City Transit after a successful two years of service,” MTA Chairman and CEO Pat Foye said in a statement. “We thank him for his work.”
“I’m very proud of what we have achieved as a team over the past two years and I believe New York City Transit is well-placed to continue its forward progress,” Byford said.
